Principal's Corner

Principal's Message

On behalf of the faculty and staff, I would like to extend a warm welcome to a new era in Iwakuni as we proudly introduce Matthew C. Perry Middle High School. We are excited to bring together our students, staff, and families into one unified school community, strengthening our shared commitment to excellence and connection.

We remain dedicated to DoDEA’s vision of Excellence in Education for Every Student, Every Day, Everywhere. Recognizing that learning extends beyond the classroom, our goal is to provide a world-class education that focuses on the whole child. By working together as a unified community of students, staff, and stakeholders, we will continue to build a culture that supports growth, belonging, and success for all.

Matthew C. Perry Middle High School will provide a nurturing, data-driven, and student-centered environment where learners are encouraged to explore, problem-solve, create, and thrive. This new chapter allows us to combine our strengths and create a seamless educational experience that supports students at every stage of their development. We are confident that by collaborating and communicating effectively, this will be a highly successful and rewarding school year.

We encourage all families to get involved by participating in school organizations, volunteering, and partnering with us as we focus on student achievement and well-being. As your principal, I look forward to working closely with all stakeholders to empower every member of our community to engage fully in education.

Again, welcome to Matthew C. Perry Middle High School. We are excited to begin this journey together and look forward to a year filled with unity, excitement, creativity, and success. Please know that we are always here to partner with you in support of every student.

We look forward to a strong and successful partnership.
